The Lady Dukes proved to be too much for Holy Name, winning 63-19.




The Marlington Lady Dukes dominated the visiting Holy Name Green Wave with a score of 63-19 in the 1st round of the state tournament. The Lady Dukes scored 20 points and limited the Green Wave to just 3 points in the first quarter. Chelsea Evanich led the team with 27 points and 16 rebounds, while Allie Gill added 11 points. Zoe Mort played well in her second game back from injury, scoring 9 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.


Holy Name was led by Claire Coljohn with 7 points, far below her usual 16 points per game. The Lady Dukes will now face Girard in the next round of the tournament, with the game scheduled for Saturday at 1 pm.
