Carrollton led for most of the game, but they were down by two with 27 seconds left. However, Braylen Murphy's steal and Lincoln Mallarnee's basket tied the game at 51.
A missed shot by Claymont resulted in Keegan Barkan driving and attempting a shot which bounced out but was deflected to Andrew Birong on the backside and a foul was called on his putback with 2.1 seconds remaining.
Birong's sole basket proved to be the difference in a closely contested East District match. The Warriors have won six of their last eight games heading into the tournament, with Lincoln Mallarnee leading the way with 24 points.
