Heartbreaker in Blackhole

Indian Valley 46 Carrollton 44

The Warriors suffered a heartbreaking loss to the #2 seed Indian Valley Braves, with a score of 46-44, in their last regular-season game. The game was a back-and-forth battle, with the Warriors leading at halftime and taking a 42-41 lead with only one minute remaining in the fourth quarter, thanks to a three-pointer from Braylon Murphy. However, an and-one bucket and free throw from Tyson Pryor with 40 seconds left put the Braves ahead, leading them to their 18th victory.

The Warriors had a well-rounded offensive performance, led by Braylon Murphy, scoring 13 points. Bryce Lonca contributed 11 points, while Andrew Birong and Lincoln Mallarnee scored 9 points each. In the first quarter, Lincoln became the 8th Warrior in history to join the 1000-point club. Carrollton's next game will be in the Sectional final on Saturday against the winner of the Minerva-Beaver match-up.
